Food carts offer "fun urban dining" in Downtown Pensacola~
Many locals rejoiced when Jerry's Cajun Cafe re-opened as the anchor restaurant for Downtown Pensacola's al Fresco in early May 2013. (Jerry's Cajun Cafe, a once popular Pensacola restaurant, caught on fire and closed years ago!) Along with Jerry's Cajun Cafe, four air stream food carts opened to form the newest, most popular Downtown Pensacola lunch spot: Al Fresco ~ Fresh Air Dining.
Al Fresco is located at 501 South Palafox St., Pensacola, FL 32502 on the corner of Palafox St. and Main St. It's a perfect place to enjoy a meal, glass of wine, or even a beer with the Florida sunshine.
The quality of food at Al Fresco is refreshing, and the variety offered at Al Fresco is the best in Downtown Pensacola.
This is a perfect place to enjoy a quick dinner before a baseball game, a relaxing lunch after a bike ride, or even a late night snack after a long day at work. Can't decide what your in the mood for? Al fresco offers something for everyone.
- Gouda Stuff Gourmet Melts- This restaurant serves the best grilled cheese in town using a variety of specialty international cheeses! In addition to the classic grilled cheese, Gouda Stuff offers cheesy sandwich combinations with buffalo chicken, turkey, bacon, Italian sausage and even meatloaf. Pair it with some tomato soup and try their fried macaroni balls just for fun.

- Z Taco Fresh Mex- Don't expect to find a ground beef taco on the menu here. Z Taco offers gourmet tacos with mahi mahi, pork, shrimp, and chicken. Try "The Gringo" vegetarian taco made with fried avocado. They also make homemade salsas and guacamole daily. In addition to tacos, make sure to sample their nachos and burritos.
- Shotgun BBQ- Choose from a variety of sandwiches or plates of barbecue pulled pork, pulled chicken, sausage, ribs, and more sure to please the entire family. My favorite is the loaded potato with your choice of meat. There are plenty of tasty sides to choose from!
- Green House Vegan Restaurant- This restaurant caters to the health conscious with a full vegan menu of juices, smoothies, wraps, and more. We are happy to see this genre of restaurant slowly growing in our area.
Al Fresco is open for lunch and dinner. Al Fresco Hours are currently as follows: open Monday- Thursday from 10:30 to 9pm, Friday & Saturday from 10:30- 11pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 9pm. The average cost for a delicious Al Fresco lunch or dinner is approximately $10.
