Renovations finally complete at former University Mall.
Construction of University Town Plaza is now complete and business looks great for the new development.
Back in May 2013, we first told you about the new stores opening around Pensacola including the much anticipated development of the former University Mall area- now redeveloped and renamed University Town Plaza.
University Mall closed years ago and sat vacant for a while, the exception of anchor stores JC Penney and Sears.
University Town Plaza is located at 7171 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32514 and is open M-S from 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 21 am to 6 pm. Individual store hours may vary slightly including Cheddars Casual Cafe which is only open daily for dinner.

It appears that business is booming for most of the new stores at University Town Plaza, especially during the 2013 holiday season when it was hard to find one parking spot among hundreds. Cheddars has been packed every evening for months, and the newly opened Texas Roadhouse serves a fabulous steak.
There are still a few smaller shops opening in the new trip mall around University Town Plaza but most of the spaces are already leased. For more information on University Town Plaza, please visit their website here or call the mall office at (850) 477-7562.
