There are several reasons why your ac needs a tune up every few years. Gulf Power estimates that as much as half of the energy consumed in your home comes from your heating and cooling! That's why they offer an incentive program to help homeowners improve the efficiency of their heating and cooling systems and save on their energy costs.
If you are a Gulf Power customer in a single family home with a heat pump or central air system that is more than 5 years old, you most likely qualify for this FREE service.
A Gulf Power certified technician comes to your home to evaluate and test the energy efficiency of your heating and cooling systems. In addition to assessing your system, they will:
This a/c tune up service is valued up to $260 and is offered free to you, the customer, as Gulf Power reimburses the contractors.
In addition to the tune up, Gulf Power will offer several EarthCents financial incentives to upgrade your energy systems including (but not limited to)

If you are a Gulf Power customer in a single family home with a heat pump or central air system that is more than 5 years old, you most likely qualify for this FREE service.
A Gulf Power certified technician comes to your home to evaluate and test the energy efficiency of your heating and cooling systems. In addition to assessing your system, they will:
- Adjust your refrigerant charge
- Clean your evaporator coil (in place, not removed)
- Clean your outdoor condenser coil
- Adjust your airflow
- Inspect your ducts
- Add a panhandle heat strip device when applicable
This a/c tune up service is valued up to $260 and is offered free to you, the customer, as Gulf Power reimburses the contractors.
In addition to the tune up, Gulf Power will offer several EarthCents financial incentives to upgrade your energy systems including (but not limited to)- Incentives to upgrade to a new HVAC system or heat pump system
- Incentive for new duct work & to seal existing duct work
