Tis' the season for Charity 5K Runs in Pensacola
Pensacola hosts over 50 running events in the Spring 2012 season.
We've compiled a fairly comprehensive list of Spring and Summer walks and runs, including 5K's in the Pensacola area. So pick your favorite(s), register, and lace up your sneakers!
April 7, 2012~ 7:30 a.m Sandman 5K Run/ Walk on Pensacola Beach to benefit St. Judes.
April 7, 2012~ 8:30 a.m. UWF Bunny Dash 5K through UWF campus including a nature trail. Sounds like a lot of fun, only $15, (free for UWF students!) but I do not see that it benefits a charity.
April 14, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. UWF Reverse Sprint Triathlon (5K Run, 15K Bike & 400M Swim)
April 14, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. St. Ann People for People Run 5K in Gulf Breeze Proper at St. Ann's Church.
April 15, 2012~ 7:00 a.m. Gulf Coast Half Marathon @ Pensacola Beach. 13.1 miles along gorgeous Pensacola Beach!
April 21, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. 16th Annual Mullet Man Triathlon benefiting Leukemia Lymphoma Society @ Florabama in Perdido Key.
April 21, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. 5th Anniversary Run for Their Lives 5K @ Pensacola Beach benefitting the Lakeview Center.
April 28, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. Humane Society Charity 5K @ Washington High School
April 28, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. Navarre Funfest 5K on Navarre Beach. Proceeds benefit the Navarre Chamber Foundation's Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary.
April 28, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. Run for the Stars 5K @ UWF. Proceeds benefit the education of handicapped children, Autism Pensacola and Miracle League of Pensacola.
April 28, 2012~ 9:00 a.m. 2012 Let's Move Together Arthritis Walk Pensacola.
May 5, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. 38th Annual Fiesta 10K Run and 5K Walk/Run- Get Cindo de Mayo started off right with a lengthier run through Downtown Pensacola.
May 5, 2012~ 6:00 p.m. 4th Annual Sunset Stampede 5K Walk/ Run in Navarre Beach begins at favorite local hangout spot Juana's and travels down the beach. Not sure this is charity at all but I'm sure a fun one being on the beach.
May 12, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. 6th Annual Michele Hill Raider Run in Navarre which is used to support the Navarre High School Raiders Football fund.
May 12, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. 2012 Pensacola Walk to Cure Diabetes in downtown Pensacola.
May 12, 2012~ 5:30 p.m. St. John Sunset Run 5K/ 1 Mile Fun Run off Navy Blvd. in West Pensacola. I believe proceeds benefit St. John's Catholic School.
May 19, 2012~ 7:00 a.m. Bear Lake Trail Challenge around Bear Lake near Blackwater in Munson (north of Milton). It's 4 miles.
May 19, 2012~ 8:00 a.m. 3rd Annual Navy Federal 5K in downtown Pensacola @ Seville Square benefiting the Armed Forces Relief Trust.
May 20, 2012~ 7:00 a.m. 3 Mile Bridge Swim! If running isnt your thing and swimming happens to be it! Swim through Pensacola Bay.
May 28, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. Gate to Gate 4.4 Mile Walk/ Run on Eglin AFB

June 9, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. Gary McAdams 5K Run/ Walk on Pensacola Beach.
June 9, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. Flag Day 5K in Gulf Breeze. To benefit these charities - Special Operations Warriors Foundation, Spectrum House (School for Handicapped Children), Guardian Ad Litem Program (for abused and nelected children.)
June 9, 2012~ 8:00 a.m Hale and Hearty 7K
June 30, 2012~ 7:30 a.m. Ronald McDonald House Firecracker 5-K
July 4, 2012~ Celebrate Freedom 5K and 1 Mile Run/ Walk
July 21, 2012~ Festival of San Fermin (2 miles)
August 6, 2012~ Bushwacker 5K Run
