Pensacola's new
minor league baseball team, The Blue Wahoos, landed Sunday afternoon at the Pensacola International Airport
ready to start practicing on their new field!!
This week has
been busy revolving around meet and greets, practices, and outright excitement
for opening day game, Thursday April 5, 2012 vs. Montgomery, Alabama!!
Season tickets
have been sold out due
to the overwhelming interest in Double-A baseball arriving to Pensacola. Full
season tickets for the Blue Wahoos inaugural season: 3,000 season
tickets for the Blue Wahoos have already been reserved for the team’s first
season, meaning that over 210,000 individual game tickets have already been purchased
by Blue Wahoos supporters!

The development
of the waterfront Blue Wahoos' stadium is part of the new maritime park in Downtown Pensacola. The community support has been enormous and the Blue wahoos have been received
with open arms! Hundreds of people are working hard to get the last minute touches ready on the stadium and grounds.
Opening Week Promotions:
This week is officially dubbed "Blue Wahoo Week" with plenty of promotional events taking place including the first game on Thursday, April 5th including a special flyover by the Pensacola Blue Angels, an appearance from Pensacola's mayor Ashton Hayward, fireworks, and even a pre-game Easter Egg Hunt! Ongoing Weekly Promotions:
The Blue Wahoos' will have themed firework shows for many games including performers, games, and some giveaways, so make sure to grab your costumes and come out and join in the fun!

Team Tuesday~ Players are available for autographs from the team!
What's Happening Wednesday~ Themed nights and special guest appearances. Themed nights scheduled include pirate night, 80's night, 70's night, Western, Mexican, and patriotic night just name a few.
Thirsty Thursday~ Discounted $2 domestic drafts and $1 canned sodas.
Free Stuff Friday~ Guest who come earlier can win free prizes.
Silver Screen Fireworks Saturday~ Firework shows and special clips from movies.
