Art in the Park a hit this weekend in Downtown Pensacola~

Pensacola's Art in the Park is a hit!
Pensacola residents embrace the arts in this Mother's Day weekened art festival.

The Pensacola Museum of Art featured their 10th Annual Art in the Park this weekend at Seville Square. This popular event featured over 100 local and national artists showcasing and selling their works of art. The festival took place Saturday and Sunday, May 12th and 13th from 10am to 5pm. and was a success with a large turnout of residents.

The art festival featured a wide variety of art including:
  • Jewelry
  • Paintings
  • Drawings
  • Photographs
  • Sculptures
  • Metal & Wood Works
  • Clay pottery
  • Ceramics
  • Art Cars
In addition to showcasing and selling merchandise, the artists were judged on their works. Cash prizes were awarded to the top 9 most popular artists as judged by the Pensacola Musem of Art.

With over 120 artists on display, the variety was incredible.  Locally, we had a great turnout with over 2 dozen local artists. Those categories include 6 artits in 2D&3D Media, 3 clay aritsts, 1 fiber artist, 3 jewerly artists, 8 oil and acylic artists, 2 local photographers, 1 sculpturer and 1 in wood works.
