Dog Beaches open on Perdido Key Beach!

Dog Beaches open on Perdido Key, FL!
Pet lovers celebrate the arrival of dog park on Perdido Key.

Great news:    After closing the Perdido Key Gulf Dog Beach in 2013, there is now one public dog beach in Perdido Key located at:
  • River Road Park, 14484 River Road, Perdido Key, FL 32507
Dogs are not allowed on the Gulf Beaches in Perdido Key.  The dog beaches are still open on Pensacola Beach as well as Perdido Key River Road Park. 

Rules for the dog beaches are posted on site.  Pets must be leashed and picked up after.  The dog beaches are open 6 am to 10 am May 1, 2013 through September 30, 2013 with hours sunrise to 10 am between November 1, 2013- and April 30, 2014.

  1. Thanks for this info! As a native of Flordia and dog lover, I appreciate this type of place dogs can just run around and be dogs. I have 2 pitbulls who I absolutely love. I wish more people would adopt Pitbull puppies for sale in Florida. They are definitely worth saving!

  2. I wish they were open from 9a-5p. When vacationing, we aren't up until 8a-9a. Is there a reason for such early and short hours?

    1. Try Port St Joe or Saint George Island FL for vacations. Dogs are allowed on the beach's all day long. Plenty of dog friendly accommodations too!

  3. Sad to see the dogs have to be leashed on the beach. Speaking from experience of living in Ca. San Diego is the best dog beach and dogs do much better off leash. Less aggressive it has been proven.
